To be born as a human being is the greatest gift from god to all of us. We can do so many things, achieve so many laurels, do a number of benevolent acts, and contribute our might in making this world a better place to live in. There are number of accomplishments we can concentrate on instead of being idle and bemoaning the fact that we are getting older by the day.

There is nothing to be ashamed of or conscious of our advancing years. What is age after all? It is after a milestone that indicates the number of summers we have witnessed or the amount of experience we have gained as enlightened beings on this great planet. We must always be proud of our age and experience at any point of time. It would be shameful if your look older than your years, but it would great if people told you that you look far younger than what you are. Hence 40th birthday is nothing to be conscious of. It is actually at this age that we would have cleared our responsibilities to some extent and we shall have time on our hands to venture so many things and would be mentally relaxed too to try all sorts of adventurous escapades, because we need not worry about profession and studies, as we would have more or less settled professional and earning a decent income too. We would have made some neat little investments to see that our future is secure.

Hence, when a man turns 40, he should be complimented and given all kinds of thoughtful gifts and give him an opportunity to share his life’s experiences through a lovely and memorable get together. Make him enjoy the day, make him feel wanted; tell him that he is still young and energetic to do all that he has wanted to do. Give him such a gift which he had been eyeing for some time but had not bought it, like a golfer kit, skier kit, a lovely music system if he is fond of music, or take him on a nice holiday if he happens to be your husband. If he is your father, show him that you care for him and acknowledge his contribution in your life. Consult some people or go online for a perfect gift for him, or use your imagination which is the best thing to do when shopping for a unique gift for him.
